Joist Seal
Joist seals are imperative if you want to prevent any leakages from rainfall or draughts from the wind. A typical joist seal is an open-fronted and open-bottomed box designed to fit seamlessly over the end of a timber joist. Once it’s built into the blockwork, this forms an airtight seal that ensures great insulation, limiting heat loss and sound transmission. We stock joist seals in a number of different sizes here at R&J, ranging from 40mm – 150mm, allowing you to choose from several options which is the most suitable for your project.
