Wood Screws

Wood screws are renowned for the strength of the joint they provide when used on woodwork and are the most common type of fastener used in joinery. They distinguish themselves from non-wood screws by their incisive thread designed to take hold of timbers. There are many different types of wood screws available, based on the shape of their heads, their gauge, their length and their material, but the most important factor when choosing your wood screw is its length: it needs to be as long as possible to ensure a strong connection but not so long as to damage the receiving piece. We offer a wide range of wood screws for all wood-based products which will give you optimum results. A popular choice, countersunk Pozi wood screws for example are suitable for both softwood and chipboard. They are heat-treated for greater resistance to snapping, coated to prevent corrosion and, like Reisser cutter wood screws, their angled point reduces the need for pilot holes. Our stainless steel wood screws are suitable for any kind of woodwork, including MDF board, and are designed to prevent splitting when used close to the edge. We also supply wood screws for timber and decking.
